DEEP BREATH

Sun Nov 22, 2009, 8:04 PM
I LIVE. I'm like a zombie, but I eat words not brains. Those six page papers ended up not being too bad (we worked with partners), but unfortunately all my other professors decided to double team and used Guillotine. It was a guillotine that hit. I've done a few pieces of work that have been uploaded to my other account, and depending on what Task 3 is that may be what goes up. If not it will not be my best work as my only option is digital medium (I lack scanner at home, where I am currently visiting). My heart goes out to everyone else NaNoing their way through November and is in college. The only other fatal casualty to my activity has been the dread beast Facebook.
Hope everyone will have a good holiday (to those Americans in the collective!) and for everyone else I wish a very happy week.
Hope to be done Task 3 or 4 soon!
~Hikari

EDIT: There are logical fallacies in this journal. If you can find them and properly name them I will give you a CYBER COOKIE!

I'm running out of time for a lot of things and my schedule has been vomiting MOAR AND MOAR on me. Very rarely is it I'm free now, though I am always online, I'm not usually paying attention and it's usually just so I can check my e-mail and see if any of my professors have decided TO KILL ME with more stuff to do. At this point in time I now have a six page paper due every night. The laws of physics do not apply in this college because night never comes. Hopefully I'll have task 3 done soon.
I miss everyone in the forums. : (

Once again inactive

Mon Sep 21, 2009, 11:52 AM
I might get in chat every once in a while, but I probably won't be talking. I really love AC (it's amazing) and hope it continues and I get to keep up. I know my announcement of random periods of activity and inactivity is kinda random, but I just do it to warn you. I'll get one when I can but don't expect me to be too active. I have a lot of papers that have strangely popped up recently. Go figure.

Wait what?

I might get inactive later on, but as of right now...
NOTHING.
There is NOTHING to do. Apparently I took the easiest teacher and he wanted us to read Gilgamesh of Ur, which I did, and now have NOTHING TO DO. That's right, 17 creds worth of courses and NOTHING TO DO. I can study Mandarin, but only for an hour. And then I'll be back to having NOTHING TO DO.

In other news:
I'm thinking of writing the ArtCollective logo on everyone's door white board in my residence hall. Then my room number so they can come ask WTF IS THIS?!

I also got a new external hard drive. It's a back-up to my other external hard drive which acts as my back up. That's right, I need a back up for my back up. Luckily, my back-up's back-up will last me through college. Why? 1.5 TB of goodness that's why.

My laptop is on the verge of dying. It's only 4 years old, but I BSOD'd last week (and recovered) but my school runs ethernet AND wireless. The wireless is shift even with Opera's Turbo on so I have to run ethernet. Unfortunately my laptop's ethernet drive is apparently shot which is why I had a BSOD. I took it to IT and told them it sounded like one of my drivers had gotten stuck. I kid you not the entire room went silent. Sooo...I need to get a new laptop and the one I'm on now will be going to my dad who's laptop can't even connect to the internet. Our house is wireless as is his workplace so I don't foresee it giving him any issues.

In a last bit of computer news: I have an immortal folder I created for my Chinese class that I ended up not needing. I called it Chinese 101. I've deleted this thing five times AND IT WON'T DIE.

::sigh:: College has started and the military routine of Honors College makes it SO MUCH MORE FUN! Nothing says loving like a syllabus that has it's own table of contents. : D Don't expect to see me too much around in the chat, but I promise I'm a busy bee and will get AC advertised around and around campus just by CHALK!! Woo-hoo!
